Easy Baharat Chicken: A Weeknight Dinner Win

Looking for a flavorful and fuss-free dinner recipe? Look no further than this Easy Baharat Chicken! This recipe uses bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs marinated in our signature Noubess Baharat Seasoning for a burst of warm, exotic spices.

  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Noubess Baharat Seasoning
  • 10-12 garlic cloves
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt (optional)

  1. Prep the Chicken: Clean the chicken thighs according to your preference. You can quickly rinse them in a water bath with vinegar, or clean them with your preferred method. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and place them in a clean bowl.

  2. Marinate for Maximum Flavor: Add the Noubess Baharat Seasoning, garlic cloves, lemon slices, and olive oil to the bowl with the chicken. If you prefer a saltier dish, sprinkle the chicken with sea salt or kosher salt at this point. Toss everything together to make sure the chicken thighs are well coated with the flavorful marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. For the most tender and flavorful chicken, marinate overnight.

  3. Preheat and Bake: Take the chicken out of the refrigerator and preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large baking dish, arrange the chicken thighs skin side up. Place a lemon slice on top of each piece of chicken. Scatter the leftover garlic cloves around the chicken in the baking dish.

  4. Bake to Golden Perfection: Bake the chicken for 40-50 minutes, or until the chicken thighs are golden brown and the juices run clear when pierced with a knife.

  5. Serve and Enjoy: Serve your Easy Baharat Chicken with rice, couscous, or your favorite grain.

  • Maximize Flavor with Marinating: For the best results, plan ahead and marinate your chicken for at least 3 hours, or ideally, overnight. The longer the chicken marinates, the deeper the flavor will be.
  • Cooking Time Variations: The cooking time may vary slightly depending on the size of your chicken thighs. Be sure to cook the chicken until the internal temperature reaches 165°F, which is the safe cooking temperature for chicken. You can use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
  • General Chicken Thigh Baking Times: As a general guide, here are some approximate baking times for bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs at different temperatures:
    • 350°F – 50-55 minutes
    • 375°F – 45-50 minutes
    • 400°F – 40-45 minutes
    • 425°F – 35-40 minutes

With its ease of preparation and explosion of flavor, this Easy Baharat Chicken is sure to become a weeknight favorite. Enjoy!
